Aromatic worry bead made of 33 nutmeg nuts. The rich tassel has the words Mount Athos ('ΑΓΙΟΝ ΟΡΟΣ'). Also, a metallic decorative element with the Byzantine Eagle bifurcated on one side and the cross of the Calvary on the other.
Mount Athos is the place, where we meet historically for the fisrt time the Worry Beads (komboloia). The monks used them to count their prayers, by creating knots on a thick thread. These simple knots were the beginning for the creation of the worry beads, as we know them today.
