The Epigonation or Palitza is one of the vestments of the priests and the elders, who have an honorary title. It has a diamond shape and is hanged next to the priest's right knee. The ribbons that we have in our collection are adorned with impressive gold thread embroidery and are used to decorate the candlesticks and the temple. The Orthodox monastic Great and Angelic schema is used by the great monks and nuns and symbolizes their second baptism.
