An excellent honey from the pine forests of Jovanitsa (Chilandari Monastery) of the Northeast Side of Mount Athos. It is a multi-variety honey, since it combines pine and late spring flowering such as Saint John’s wart or balsam, marubium or broom-plant, elfin thyme or thymus serpyllum and many other plants. The rich flora of this blessed land help the bees create an aromatic honey. One may smell a delicate aroma, see a bright golden color, enjoy a rich buttery taste and feel a pleasant aftertaste of a citrus bouquet combined with the scent of pure wax. As an Athonite honey it is natural, unspoiled, unfiltered, unpasteurized, characteristics that make it indeed unique.
