Jesus is hagiographed with a stern look, but his love for the faithful emanates unchanged from the whole image. According to the tradition of Christian hagiography, Jesus Pantocrator dominates the central dome of Byzantine temples and in cases where there is no dome, the image of Jesus must be hagiographed on the roof of the temple, in the center.
