New Martyr Christos came from Albania. At the age of 40, he was working in Istanbul as a gardener, but a Turk slandered him that he wanted to become a Turk. That was the cause to be taken to prison and tortured him, but his strong personality did not break. He died by decapitation on February 12, 1748 AD, when his memory is being celebrated.
