Saint Antonius the Great was born in 251 AD in Egypt by wealthy and virtuous parents. Soon he decided to leave his prosperous and abundant way of living and depart for the desert. His life became an ascetic example. He passed away at the age of 105. Saint Antonius the Great celebrates on January 17th.
