Saint Euthymius the Great was born in Armenia in 377 AD. In 406 AD, he went to Jerusalem and he lived ascetically and strictly in the cave of Saint Theoctistus. At that time, he gathered beside him many monks, who elected him as their abbot. He slept in peace in the year 473 AD. Saint Euthymius the Great celebrates on January 20th.
