Saint Tryphon was born in Lampsacos in the 3rd century AD. He had the gift not only to heal diseases but also to cure people from demons. He died in Nice in 250 AD, when Emperor Decius launched a violent persecution against the Christians. Saint Tryphon is honored as the patron saint of the wine producers. Saint Tryphon celebrates on 1 February.
