Saint Paul of Xeropotamou, lived in the 10th century AD. He was the son of a pious Byzantine Emperor; having received a brilliant education, he was one of the most learned people of his time. He lived ascetically near the present Monastery of Xeropotamu, of which he was the founder. Texts of the Saint, are saved in the Monastery of Xeropotamou. Saint Paul of Xeropotamou celebrates on July 28th.
