Saint Meropi was born in Ephesus in the 3rd century AD. Due to persecution, she was forced to go with her mother to Chios. There, she was tormented by the idolatrous lord of Chios, Nomerios, because she buried the relic of Saint Isidore. Eventually, she left her last breath in jail, staying unshaken in her faith. Saint Meropi celebrates on December 2nd.
