Saint Philip was descended from Galilee and was one of the twelve disciples of Jesus. The Lord chose him as His disciple and he brought Nathanael with him. He proclaimed the Gospel to the Parthians and martyred in Hierapolis of Syria. Saint Philip celebrates on November 14th.
