Hand painted icon of Saint Ephraim of Katounakia, made in Mount Athos, on natural wood with two braids on its back side. The icon is delivered in a luxurious box with a velvet coating.
Saint Ephraim of Katounakia was born in 1912, at the village Ampelohori in Theva. In 1933 the grace of God led him to Katounakia of Holy Mount Athos. In 1935 he became officially a monk and took the name Ephraim, while he had the honor to meet Elder Joseph the Hesychast (1898 -1959). Unfortunately, in 1996 Saint Ephraim had a stroke, but he never stopped praising God. Two years later, he died in Mount Athos. On March 9th, 2020, Elder Ephraim of Katounakia was recognised as a saint. His memory is honored on February 7th.
