The appearance of Archangel Gabriel, the messenger of God, and the announcement of the happy message to Mariam, are presented with reverence and excitement in the icon of the Annunciation. “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus” (Luke 1: 30–31), with these words archangel Gabriel announced Mariam that she would be conceived Jesus Christ.
