Hand carved encolpion on boxwood made at the Holy Skete of Saint Demetrios in Mount Athos. “Pantanassa” Virgin Mary is seated on her throne with Jesus Christ in her lap blessing. At its perimeter the phrase “Holiest Mother of God be merciful on us” is engraved.
