Handmade, pectoral, wood carved cross with Saint Catherine, wearing a princess’ garments and surrounded by floral decoration. It has been made of boxwood at the Holy Skete of Saint Demetrios in Mount Athos.

Saint Catherine was descended from a noble family of Alexandria. She was very smart, a scholar and a faithful Christian. After many tortures, she martyred by decapitation. It is considered the patron saint of students. Her holy relic is kept in Mount Sinai. Saint Catherine celebrates on November 25th.
