The Samian Holy Communion Wine is known for centuries for its strong aroma and balanced sweetness. It is of ruby color and smells of wax and incense, depending on its aging. Its taste is rather sweet, since it is intended to be diluted with water (zeon) for use in the Holy Communion. Today, this excellent wine is produced by UWC SAMOS with the blessing of Samos and Ikaria Holy Metropolis.
