Saint Alexander was distinguished for his great piousness, virtue and piety. He participated in the First Ecumenical council of Nicaea and he succeeded Patriarch Metrophanes when he passed away. Saint Alexander died peacefully in 337 AD. Saint Alexander celebrates on August 30th.
