Saint Andrew is referred in the Orthodox tradition as the First-Called; he was a Christian Apostle and the brother of Saint Peter. He proclaimed the Christian faith in Bithynia, the Black Sea, Cyprus, Thrace, Macedonia, Epirus and Achaia. He is a patron of Patras, where his head from his remains are being kept. Saint Andrew celebrates on November 30th.
