Saint Christodoulos was born in a small town near Nikaia, Bithynia, around 1020 AD. With a golden bull or chrysobull, a decree issued by Byzantine Emperor Alexios I of Komnenos, a monastery was built in Patmos, where his remains are still preserved. Saint Christodoulos of Patmos celebrates on March 16th.
