Prophet Elias lived in 9 BC, the years of the reign of Ahab, and came from Thebes. He is portrayed as leading a school of prophets known as "the sons of the prophets". He practiced his prophetic charisma and for this reason he was chased by the wife of King Jezebel. Prophet Elias did not die but was taken up with a flaming chariot in the heaven. Prophet Elias celebrates on July 20th.
