Saint Theodore Studite was born in Constantinople in 759 AD and he was a great defender of the images. For his zeal, Saint Theodore was exiled four times. The name "Studitis" results from its establishment in the Monastery of Studios in 797 in Constantinople. Saint Theodore Studites celebrates on November 11th.
