Hand painted icon of Saint Justin, made in Mount Athos, on natural wood. The icon is delivered in a wooden box.
Saint Justin the Martyr was born in Palestine in 100 A.D. from Greek pagan parents. Despite the theological direction that his parents gave him, Justin developed a deep love for Jesus Christ. One day, while he was walking by the sea, an elder approached him and taught him the Christian faith. Later, Justin went to Rome and gave to the Emperor an Apology with the teaching of Christianity. For that reason, he is also called Apologist. Finally, Justin Martyr was beheaded in 165 A.D. His memory is celebrated on June 1st.
