Saint Theodora, was the emperor Theofilos' wife. During the Byzantine Iconoclasm she was opposed to the ban of the use of religious icons. After her husband’s death, who was an iconoclasist, she ratified the decisions made from the Z'Ecumenical Council of Nicaea and decided to fully restore the sacred images. Her relic is kept in the Metropolitan Church of Corfu. Saint Theodora celebrates on February 11th.
