Saint Leontios lived in the second half of the 12th century AD Leontios became a monk of the Theoctistos monastery in Patmos and later he was elected Abbot of the Monastery. In the year 1170 AD, he became Patriarch of Jerusalem, but because of the control that he exercised on the new emperor Andronikos Komninos, Leontios was exiled and died after many years. Saint Leontios celebrates on May 14th.
