Grooved serigraph of Saint Ephraim of Nea Makri. The background is gold colored with a red outline. The icon can either be hanged on the wall or stand on any surface.
Saint Ephraim, at the age of 14, in order to avoid Islamization, joined the thriving holy monastery of Stavropigiani of The Dormition of the most holy Theotokos, in Attica. A few years later, Turks intruded violently into the Monastery and tortured Ephraim. Ephraim of Nea Makri testified on May 5, 1426, and this is when his memory is celebrated.
