Hand painted icon of Saint Ephraim on Nea Makri, made in Mount Athos, on natural wood. The icon is delivered in a wooden box.
Saint Ephraim, at the age of 14, in order to avoid Islamization, joined the thriving holy monastery of Stavropigiani of The Dormition of the most holy Theotokos, in Attica. A few years later, Turks intruded violently into the Monastery and tortured Ephraim. Ephraim of Nea Makri testified on May 5, 1426, and this is when his memory is celebrated.
