Saint Ariadne lived in the years of the kings Adrianus and Antoninus (117-139 AD), lived in the city of Premies and was a slave. When the powerful lord of the city learned that Ariadne had become a Christian, he was pushing her back to idolatry. They tortured her horribly and chased her until she died by falling from a cliff. Saint Ariadne celebrates on September 18th.
