Monastic icon with Saint Ephraim of Nea Makri made in the Holy Monastery of the Athonite Fathers with the method of pyrography. The icon is hand painted on marine grade plywood.

Saint Ephraim, at the age of 14, in order to avoid Islamization, joined the thriving holy monastery of Stavropigiaki of The Dormition of the most holy Theotokos, in Attica. A few years later, Turks intruded violently into the Monastery and tortured Ephraim. Ephraim of Nea Makri testified on May 5, 1426, and this is when his memory is celebrated.
