Small icon (lithograph) of Saint Stamatios on hard MDF with matte varnish.
Dimensions: 7 x 12 cm.
Saint Stamatius, the New Martyr, came from a village of Volos. Stamatius, along with other Christians, went to the authorities in Constantinople to complain about the injustices against them. But some people slandered him and the local lord ordered to torture and imprison him. Saint Stamatius remained unshakable in his faith and eventually martyred with beheading. Saint Stamatius celebrates on August 16th.
