Hand painted icon of Theotokos Hodegetria made on Mount Athos, on natural wood with two braids on its back side. Polished with gold 22K and a wreath. The icon is delivered in a wooden box.

This icon was for many years in the Catholikon of the Holy Great Monastery of Vatopedi. In 1730, however, it suddenly disappeared from its position and was found in the Monastery of Xenophontos.
