Hand painted icon of Saint Sozon, made in Mount Athos, on natural wood. The icon is delivered in a wooden box.
Saint Sozon was born at the end of the 3rd century A.D. from a family of nationals. He was later baptized a Christian and was named Sozon. He was a shepherd by profession and read the Bible carefully alongside the animals. He tried to catechize the pagans and bring them to the path of Jesus Christ. The ruler Maximian horribly tortured the Saint to death for his contribution as a Christian. His memory is honored on September 7.
