Saint Silouan was born in 1866 AD, in the village of Sobok of Russia and he was a carpenter. On Mount Athos he went to 1892 AD. and was practiced for 46 whole years at the Monastery of Saint Panteleimon. He died on September 24, 1938 AD, when he celebrates his memory.
