O Christ the true Light that enlighteneth and sanctified every man that comes into the world. Let the light of Thy countenance shine upon us, that in it we might behold the unapproachable light. Guide our footsteps in the keeping of Thy commandments, by the prayers of Thy Most-pure Mother and of all Thy Saints. Amen.

According to the tradition, the founders of Zografou Monastery are considered to be three brother monks, Moses, Aaron and John from Ahrida, who lived on Mount Athos in the 10th century. However, historical evidence testifies to another version of the establishment of the Monastery. In the first charter of Tsimiskis (972), George the Painter (in Greek, Zografos) is mentioned as the builder of the Zografou Monastery, who signs as abbot of the Monastery. The Zografou Monastery is dedicated to Saint George, as an old miraculous icon is preserved, which is one of the most important relics of the Monastery.
The image of \'\'Joy of all\'\' was miraculously found in the village of Klotsky near St Petersburg, Russia, inside a small church. In the early 19th century the temple was destroyed by lightning, while the icon was miraculously saved. Then, in paradoxical way, the coins of the charity\'s broken box were stuck on the icon. Since then the icon has been doing miracles and benefiting the Russian people.
