Saint Simeon was king of Serbia with the name Stefan Nemanja and father of Saint Sava, the first Archbishop of Serbia. About 1196 AD he resigned from his position and went to Mount Athos, together with his son and built the Holy Monastery of Hilandar. Saint Simeon slept peacefully in 1200 AD. and was buried on the south side of the monastery's catholicon. A few years later, his son decided to transfer his father's holy relics to his homeland. During the removal process, myrrh started flowing for several days. For this reason, Saint Simeon was also called " Myrrh-Gusher" or “Myrrh-flowing”. Saint's relics are today in the Studenica Monastery in Serbia. He celebrates on February 13.
