Hand painted icon of Six-winged Seraphim, made in Mount Athos, on natural wood. The icon is delivered in a wooden box.

According to Christian tradition, the first rank of the bodiless powers are the Seraphim or Seraph, which are creations of God, fashioned from the most radiant light. They are the most glorious order of angels, positioned closest to God, encircling His Throne and chanting the Thrice-Holy Hymn. According to the prophet Elijah, the Seraphim had six wings: two of them covering their faces, two covering their bodies and the remaining two allowing them to fly. From this interpretation comes the term Six-winged (in Greek ‘'Exapteryga’).
