The material of the icon is composed of a special, durable metal alloy, impregnated with pure silver 999. The special treatment with the PVD method, as well as the excellent quality silkscreen printing according to the standards of Byzantine iconography, create the final result of the icon that remains unchanged over time.

A Brief Life of Saint Spyridon
Saint Spyridon was born in Cyprus around 270 AD into a humble family of shepherds and lived a life marked by simplicity, humility and unwavering faith. Although he had the opportunity to receive an education, he remained devoted to his work as a shepherd, cultivating a life of integrity, compassion and love for both God and his fellow human beings. In his youth, he married and had a daughter named Irene. Following the death of his wife, he dedicated himself even more fully to prayer and the service of the Church. Because of his exceptional virtue and holiness, he was ordained to the priesthood and later became Bishop of Trimythous.
As a bishop, Saint Spyridon became renowned for his gentleness, charity and humble manner of life. He took part in the First Ecumenical Council of Nicaea in 325 AD, where he courageously defended the Orthodox faith against heresy. According to Orthodox tradition, his wisdom, simplicity and unwavering faith made a profound impression on those who attended the council.
Saint Spyridon reposed in the Lord around 350 AD. Over the centuries, his incorrupt holy relics were transferred to the island of Corfu, where they remain enshrined and deeply venerated to this day.
The Orthodox Church preserves numerous accounts of Saint Spyridon's miracles. Among the most well known are his compassionate assistance to a poor man facing financial ruin, his protection of his flock from thieves and his miraculous interventions on behalf of the people of Corfu, including the deliverance of the island from famine and deadly epidemics. For these and many other acts of divine grace, he is revered as one of the Church's great wonderworkers. The Orthodox Church commemorates Saint Spyridon on December 12.
