The materials used vary in order to meet the needs and preferences of all believers. Where can I find wall-mounted crosses?
In our monastic online shop, every believer can find wall-mounted crosses, that is crosses designed to be hung on the wall. They are handcrafted by the fathers of Mount Athos and made from high-quality wood to ensure durability and long-lasting strength. One of the most distinctive wall-mounted crosses is the handmade cross with holy items. It is named this way because its four ends contain small storage compartments, carved recesses covered with glass, which hold at the bottom, soil from Mount Athos, on the right side, a ribbon blessed on the Holy Belt of Virgin Mary, on the left, Athonite incense, and at the top, flowers from the holy monasteries of Mount Athos. A similar piece is the handmade cross with holy items on three ends. At the bottom it contains soil from Mount Athos, on the right a blessed ribbon from the Holy Belt of Virgin Mary, and on the left Athonite incense. At the center of the cross is the Crucified Christ in golden tones, while the lower part bears the inscription “Mount Athos” in gold letters. We also offer a simple wall-mounted cross, without holy items, made from three different types of wood, cedar, cypress, and pine, woods known for their durability and beautiful natural color. Alternatively, you may also consider the wooden cross featuring the Crucifixion of the Lord, depicted using high-resolution silkscreen printing on a durable MDF surface. The silkscreen technique ensures vivid colors, fine detail, and long-lasting quality.

Why do we wear a cross around the neck?
There are many reasons why a believer chooses to wear cross necklaces. These reasons may be personal, religious, spiritual, or symbolic. Each person decides for themselves which cross to wear, when to wear it, and whether to wear it at all. Many people tend to put on or take off their cross depending on their clothing, without realizing that the cross is a symbol of faith, not a fashion accessory. By wearing the cross, the believer expresses their faith, love, and devotion to God. The cross serves as a daily reminder of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ for humankind. In the Orthodox tradition, the cross is given at the sacrament of Holy Baptism and accompanies the person throughout their entire life. For many believers, the cross is also understood as offering spiritual protection in everyday life, guarding them from misfortune and difficulties. Above all, however, it reflects the individual’s faith in the Lord and the reverence they show toward the cross they wear. In our online shop, you can find a variety of cross necklaces that meet every preference and need.
