Wood-carved Blessing Cross from Mount Athos

Excellent detailed hand-carved blessing cross made of pear-wood in the Holy Cell of the Dormition of the Theotokos on Mount Athos. The center of the cross depicts the Crucified Lord Jesus Christ in a detailed impression with deep engraving. In addition, the letters ΒCΛ ΔΟΞΗC (Βασιλεύς της Δόξης in Greek, that means King of Glory) ΙΣ ΧΣ ΝΙΚΑ are engraved around the perimeter. A unique Athonite handcraft made with patience and faith by the fathers in the Garden of Virgin Mary.
